Welcome to my online portfolio. This is a collection of the design work that I have created for my clients. Hope you enjoy browsing through the slide shows. Let me know if there is any way that I can be a service to you.
Website – Design and Development
I design sites for my clients that are an expression of them and their businesses. I am proficient building sites using the WordPress platform. My clients like the WordPress site for it allows them to make changes to their own sites.
I also work on the front-end and back-end of websites. A web developer needs to be proficient in both front-end and back-end languages and frameworks, as well as working with servers, networks and hosting environments. At one of my contract jobs, I work as a web developer and Graphic Designer. I maintain and update the front-end and the back-end of their very large site using HTM/CSS, PHP, Java Script and also work with their database.
“Content precedes design. Design in the absence of content is not design, it’s decoration.” – Jeffrey Zeldman (author of ‘Designing with Web Standards’)
Logos – Design and Branding
It is a great opportunity to create logos for my clients! Especially when they have an idea that they are wanting to see come to life.
“Socrates said, “Know thyself.” I say, “Know thy users.” And guess what? They don’t think like you do.” – Joshua Brewer
Print Media – Layout and Design
This is the business that I have lived and breathed since graduating from Art School. I have seen many changes in the business over the years, but one thing remains the same. Having a sense of good design. My favorite programs for design are Adobe Indesign and Illustrator.
“There are three responses to a piece of design – yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.” – Milton Glaser
Illustrations – Traditional and Digital
My first love is drawing and painting! I specialize in watercolor but also paint in acrylic and oil paint. Also, I am proficient in the Adobe Suite. Some of my illustrations are created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Steve Martin sure said it well…
I get paid for doing this!
